Bus stop

17 Mar

Vivian played a game as we waited for the bus, in our mission to buy a pie plate for my father’s very tasty Lemon Meringue pie. She’d run through the wet slush/snow until she was about 2 metres awat from me.

“I’m far away Mommy! Do you miss me?”

She giggle and push the pink glitter girly glasses up her nose as she waited.

“Cry Mommy! Cry if you miss me!”

As soon as I’d cry, or pretend to, my face distorted to look like pouting, she giggle some more, and come running to me, arms open, telling me she loved me.

I’d miss her alright.

She knows how to play those heart strings like a concert violinist. Adorable.
