My new tattoo, let me show it to you

13 Mar

So, this picture is shitty since the camera on my phone is shitty, but I hope to have a good picture sometime tomorrow to replace this with. Good picture now. 🙂

I’m just so fucking happy with this that I MUST squee now.

Brandon at Kustom Thrills Tattoo in Nashville did this for me tonight. The price was incredibly reasonable for the absolute kickassness of this piece. I’m over the moon I’m so happy. It’s like he knew exactly what I was thinking of without me having to actually say it. I’m so overwhelmed by how much I like this.

So glad I didn’t go back to the place in the Armpit that ripped me off last time. This piece is quality-and did I mention that it’s also a coverup? It’s the last piece I wanted to do for my mother, and it being this fantastic makes it mean even more.

Having a tattoo artist that didn’t spend his time trying to make me feel inferior, and having a shop full of artists who were friendly and open made all of the difference. I’ve never been so pleased with anything. I’ve already warned him I’ll be coming back next time I’m here. Check out their gallery on their site-really awesome stuff.

So happy…….

Badass. And way braver than me. I can contemplate birth but paying someone jab me with needles? Ouch.

It is beautiful though. And a cover-up to boot – very impressive. Glad you seem to be having a good trip. 🙂

    Wheeeee!!!!! That is lovely!

I can honestly say that if my first experience getting a tattoo wasn’t as wonderful as it was, I might not have sought out any more. Luckily (or unluckily so), it was and I have many many to show off.

If I am ever in Nashville, I will be checking this out!

    Awesome!!!

And it’s always nice to hear someone so satisfied with something that they’re giving free advertising.

I’m wanting to get a tattoo (I don’t have any, yet) for my big 3-0 birthday this summer. I’m afraid I’m too chicken though. 😦

I lurve it. But yeah, right now, some owies. It only really hurt near the end, and that was more burning. Today, it burns….it hasn’t peeled yet though…

there’s nothing like actually being happy with something you commission, huh? especially when it’s a permanent addition to your body…

squee on your behalf…a lovely thing to do in your mom’s honour.

That rocks! I especially love the stars around. And the shading. And the placement.

I am seething with new tattoo envy!

Do I have to be the only one of your commenters to say, I don’t understand the point of a tattoo. I guess I do. It’s…pretty…but it’s on your skin. Forfuckingever. Now don’t hate me because I’m ink-less.

  20. thordora March 14, 2008 at 11:20 pm #

I still loves it. So much. I’ve gotten so many compliments on it-I really hope I do drive some business to them. They deserve it!

Candy-my Dad feels exactly the same. For me, every tattoo is very much meaningful to me-pieces of my life I need inscribed. Like my wedding band on my wrist.

    I don’t get purses-so fair is fair. 🙂

The stars were his idea Jen, and I love him.

And it really didn’t hurt that much. Up on the shoulder at bone it got a bit more irritating, but it wasn’t that bad until the end cause it had started to swell.

    Oh how I love it….

Totally hot. Nice work. I’m starting to get an itch for another one. It’s an addiction, isn’t it?

  22. Suburban Mum March 16, 2008 at 8:01 am #

That’s amazing! I’m not brave enough to have one done, even though I’ve always wanted to.

It’s a great thing when you find a high quality tattoo artist who is not only great at tattooing but also nice to be around and not egotistical. Great tattoo, I’m happy your happy. Kudos to your tattoo artist for being so professional with the whole process.
