Blech…sweat

16 Jul

I know, I was just complaining about the rain and the gray weather, and now I whine about the hot weather.

In my defense, I actually hate summer, especially humidity. I just end up feeling dirty all the time. Like right now. I know that I’l go wash my face and just feel dirty again in 5 minutes.

On a happy note, I’ve been running slightly manic/perhaps actually normal since last night. What a weird feeling-actually wanting to do stuff like cleaning out the bathroom and throwing out the crap I accumulate. Weirdness. So I hope it actually lasts for once.

But hey, I just went for a nice swim with my family, I found a book in the mail as a present from Missy, and I’m about to clean out a closet, and I mean CLEAN it out.

And thank you Missy. It’s so touching that you’ve thought of me. And a book! Squee!  I love books as presents!

oh, and I talked to my boss about working a day or two this week, and her response? “Don’t rush back-make sure you’re better.”

I do indeed have the best boss in the world, no matter how paranoid I get.

Tis a lovely day folks. It’s about damn time.

I’m the same way with humidity. But, I’ll be the first person to complain about freezing too! hahaha. Glad you are feeling a bit better, and while you are in a manic state do you want to come down to Wisconsin and clean out my bathroom and all the crap I have in there too? *smile*

I have always noticed when it gets hot and humid I feel like some one is trying to cook me in a bamboo steamer like a head of broccoli.

    so steamy. no so fun.

    It’s miserable here too.

    Glad you’re doing better.

that sounds like a lot of good news for a monday!
very glad that your boss is dealing with your absence nicely – i mean, it’s only sensible, she should have some interest in your getting better and be a good support at work again instead of mentally tired burnt out. but i know some bosses are idiots, yours just never sounded like one.
i hope there will be more lovely days. cleaning clutter out always cleans my mind, too. i know it’s probably not the same for you, but it can be incredibly soothing for my troubled mind.

i actually like a little heat but i suffer from the humidity, too. i hate feeling sticky all the time and wanting to go right back after i’m out of the shower and barely dressed. i’ve also realised how dirty this city is. depending on the wind we get airplanes flying very low over our part of the city, there are busses and trucks passing in front of the house and with the windows all open to catch a breeze a fine layer of soot settles on everything in this place. i’m not a hygiene junkie and i’m happy if i clean house and vacuum and wipe my floors once a week but today after i had walked from the shower to the kitchen my feet were black.. yuck. now i have to clean in this heat.

    🙂 You’re welcome.

For some reason I have the sudden urge to go clean out my junk drawers.
