Awhile back, I won a Spa Finder GC on Work it Mom! which was cool and stuff. Until I found out there is nothing locally I can use it at.
Grr. 50.00 is a manicure and pedicure. Which I REALLY REALLY wanted. And now, can’t have.
So. Instead of me sitting here staring at it and getting annoyed, I figured since I’m not up to having a Pulsate Olympics this month (and Jihanna, I SWEAR I’ll be mailing your book soon-it’s been a month to end all months), I’ll give this little sucker away easily.
All you need to do is comment, and I’ll put your name in the “hat”. I’ll leave comments open until Next Thursday. My first name is on the GC, but I don’t see there being an issue since I can’t use it.
My advice though, is to check out Spa Finder first and see if you can use it. I feel bad winning and not being able to do anything with it.

Ok, I’m going to go out on a limb here and suggest that the gift certificate be donated to Whymommy (http://toddlerplanet.wordpress.com/) to use after her chemo is done. Or maybe while it’s going on?

Wow. In looking up whether *I* could use it, I found a spa in Altoona. So yay!
Before donating it (which I think is a great idea), you should check & make sure she could use it. Some spa procedures don’t mix well w/ chemo and other medical treatments. Or the winner could donate the equivalent of the spa certificate to charity.
What you need to do is hang onto your spa certificate & come to the spa in Altoona with me 😉

Amy-I thought about doing the donate thing, but I’m also a big fan of doing something nice for a random woman-one who just lives life and has stress and all that.
From what I understand as well, Whymommy has a support group who is rallying around her with plenty of spa packages (note to all friends-I’m totally down with that action as well) 🙂
It makes me happier to do something random for the sake of making someone happy. That’s all.
