Victory is Mine! I’m home!

12 Jul

I asked, and looked healthy, sounded well, and here I am.

I won’t be writing much right now, but will later. I did want to answer one question though.

There wasn’t anything to do on that ward. You spoke for 15-20 minutes to your doctor, perhaps your nurse through the day. Once a week they had what was basically arts and crafts for an hour, and had hour long sessions about “healthy minds” for a hour 3 times weekly. Otherwise- you watched TV, you read, you ate, you stared at walls, you did what you could to avoid the boredom.

It’s one case where my illness isn’t talking.

As I said, I have notes and notes and thoughts that I’ll be wandering through later.

I’m glad your home & I’m glad you advocated for yourself. That was no place to be for that long…

Can’t wait to read your notes!!

    Whew!

Gosh, my time on the ward was so overscheduled…

I continue to pray for you (hope you don’t mind) that you and your doctor(s) and everyone will get your brain all settled and comfy. It’s just so awful when the thing you need for thinking and feeling and loving and laughing and all that, is sick and unreliable.

Welcome home! Looking forward to reading about your experience.

Prayers and love to you and your fam.

I’m glad you’re home! One thing you know is your own mind and what you need-don’t ever doubt yourself on that accord. In that way, you seem to be WAY healthier than many people I know.

Just take care of yourself. I’ll be thinking about you.

Now write an essay and sell it.

Welcome home (physically & in Bloglandia)

Ignore my comment on your last post. That sounds just like the ward I was in, except that you were watched by the nurses and given points for your interactions with other people. Once I was in and non-suicidal, I was majorly hypomanic/verging on manic, so that was easy for me, but if I had been depressed or shy, no way.
