Oh I’m sorry-I just want to do my job, that’s all…

There’s nothing like men making fun of a woman trying to do her ACTUAL job now is there? I mean, if I was a journalist, and refused to lead with something as inane and pointless as Paris Hilton, I’d totally expect my male coworkers to make fun of me for thinking that, gee, perhaps we should focus on something ELSE for a change?

Mika Brzezinski-I’m with you. Burn it, rip it up, and stuff the damn thing down your co worker’s throats since they can’t possibly believe in anything remotely resembling the news anymore. Listening to the way these two men sit there and deride and mock you is disgusting, rude and unprofessional. It’s indicative of how many of us are just expected to sit there and take that kind of crap. I don’t know how you didn’t walk off the set.

Watch the video Ladies and try to tell me that they way those two men treat her isn’t the most infantile thing you’ve ever seen.

I saw this on sk-rt and also wanted to set the guys on fire.

Good for Mika for showing some integrity though.

Ok, I’m not a big Joe Scarborough guy but I like MSNBC and Keith Olberman (I only say I’m not a big joe guy cause I just don’t watch him)

Believe me though, these guys are putting a mockery at the story and not Mika herself. I think they were more cheering her own and goading her into more behavior they agreed with but as a whole couldn’t really participate in. Keith Olberman and other MSNBC anchors have really gone out of there way to chastize CNN for their coverage of Paris.

MSNBC even has this clip on their page.

I mean if someone was trying to light a fire in studio I’d try to stop them too.

Look at her strut? Even the paper smells good?

Yeah, I would call that demeaning.

Eric-some of it good natured ribbing, but a LOT of it is shit that guys do to chicks all.the.time. when they try and do their jobs, or what’s right. It’s demeaning and rude. I never watch MSNBC, but I’ve been in that type of a position before, being mocked while I try to do the right thing. Believe me, it’s never fun.

I will concede the fire issue however. That seemed a bit odd to me as well.
